The Implementation of this CIO children’s charity initiatives in The Gambia will benefit both the beneficiaries and country in a multitude of important ways, including:
-
Alleviating Child Poverty: Many children live in impoverished communities that lack access to basic necessities such as a balanced diet, clean water, decent shelter, clothing etc. We aim to support and provide funding for local community initiates that provide essential resources to help improve the living conditions of the youths / children.
-
Improving Childrens’ Health: Poor children often suffer from malnutrition, preventable diseases and limited access to healthcare services. We aim to support and provide funding for local community initiates that are providing essential resources to provide medical care, vaccinations, and health education, significantly improving their overall health and life expectancy.
-
Enhancing Children Education: Access to quality education is often limited in poor areas. We aim to support and provide funding for local educational children programmes, supply educational materials and provide scholarships or sponsorships, enabling children to receive an education that can open up opportunities for their future.
-
Protection and Safety of Children: Children in impoverished areas are at higher risk of exploitation, abuse, and neglect. We aim to support and provide funding for local programmes that work to protect vulnerable children by providing safe havens and awareness programs about children's rights.
-
Breaking the Cycle of Child Poverty: We aim to support and provide funding to programmes that invest in the well-being and development of children for long-term benefits. Educated and healthy children are more likely to become self-sufficient adults who contribute positively to their communities, thus breaking the cycle of poverty.
-
Humanitarian Response for Children: In times of crisis, such as natural disasters, conflicts, or pandemics, we aim to support and provide funding to children's programmes that provide emergency relief and support to the most vulnerable, ensuring that the children receive immediate aid and protection.
-
Promote Equality of Children: Children in poor communities can be vulnerable and face discrimination based on gender, disability, or ethnicity. we aim to support and provide funding for programmes that work to promote equal rights and opportunities for all children, fostering inclusive societies.
-
Promote Gender Equality in Children: We aim to support and provide funding to programmes that aims to create an environment where all children, regardless of gender, can thrive and succeed by address and dismantling barriers that may prevent children from achieving their full potential based on their gender (by focusing on ensuring that boys and girls have equal access to resources, opportunities, protections etc.).
